Wargaming Celebrates Player at Eagle Scout Court of Honor

January 15, 2015

There are few things as coveted to a member of the Boy Scouts of America as the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting. For parents of soon-to-be Eagle Scouts, it’s customary to reach out to significant people and organizations such as politicians, celebrities and companies to invite them to the Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony, where a Scout is awarded the prestigious rank.

Wargaming had the distinction of being invited by family and friends of newly minted Eagle Scout, Brian K. of Naperville Il, to his Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony on January 4th. Aside from Brian being an accomplished Scout, having earned 29 total Merit Badges including Archery, Emergency Preparation, Carpentry and Wilderness Survival, he is also an avid World of Tanks player. Player Experience Specialist Valerie MacCracken was on hand to personally present Brian with an award plaque of recognition from Wargaming for his exceptional achievement. “Brian, his friends, and parents were absolutely blown away by this surprise,” said Valerie.

Less than 2% of the young men who have joined Scouting since 1912 have earned the Eagle Scout rank and now Brian is one of them. Other notable Eagle Scouts include Astronaut Neil Armstrong and Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg!

Wargaming would like to extend our gratitude to Brian and his family for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this extraordinary milestone.
